These terms explain how CheckMyHotelRate works and what you can expect when you ask us to check a hotel rate or help with a booking.

1. About CheckMyHotelRate

CheckMyHotelRate provides travel advisor services, including checking hotel rates and identifying benefits that may be available through travel advisor channels, such as preferred partner programs.

2. The rate check

Most visitors already found a hotel, room and rate somewhere else. You can send us that rate, along with the hotel, room and dates, and we’ll compare it with eligible travel advisor rates available to us, including preferred partner rates where available.

  • The rate check itself is free.

  • Sending us a request does not obligate you to book anything.

  • Submitting the form does not create a hotel reservation. A reservation only exists once a booking has actually been confirmed.

3. We cannot promise a better rate

We do our best to find a good outcome, but we cannot guarantee results. In particular:

  • we do not guarantee a lower price

  • we do not guarantee better conditions

  • we do not guarantee preferred partner benefits

  • your existing rate may already be the best option available

Where relevant, we’ll explain any differences in rate, room, breakfast, cancellation terms and benefits so you can compare clearly.

4. Rates, benefits and availability

  • Hotel rates can change at any time.

  • Availability can change.

  • Upgrades, early check-in, late check-out and similar benefits may be subject to availability.

  • Specific benefits depend on the eligible program, hotel and rate.

  • An option shown during a rate check is not guaranteed until a reservation has actually been confirmed.

5. Booking a hotel

If you decide to proceed with an option we found:

  • CheckMyHotelRate may assist you as a travel advisor.

  • The booking may be processed through our host agency and travel industry partners such as Fora, together with the relevant hotel or provider.

  • Before confirming, please review the final hotel, room, dates, rate, taxes, cancellation terms and included benefits.

The final booking confirmation and the applicable supplier or booking terms govern your hotel reservation. CheckMyHotelRate does not own or operate any hotel. CheckMyHotelRate is an independent website operated by a travel advisor affiliated with Fora Travel. CheckMyHotelRate is not owned or operated by Fora Travel, Inc.

6. Payment and commissions

There is no separate charge for asking us to check a hotel rate.

Any charges for the stay itself are set by the actual booking and rate you confirm. The hotel or travel industry partner may pay CheckMyHotelRate, or our travel advisor network, a commission when a booking is completed. This commission does not add an extra fee to your rate check or booking.

7. Changes and cancellations

Your rights to change or cancel a reservation depend on the specific hotel rate and the terms of that reservation. Please review these carefully before booking. If we help you with a change or cancellation, this remains subject to the hotel’s or provider’s own rules. We cannot promise that every reservation is refundable.

8. Information you send us

Please give us accurate information. Screenshots and rate details you send should clearly show what you’d like us to compare. If the information you provide is incomplete or incorrect, our comparison may not be fully accurate.

9. Third-party services

Parts of our website or the booking process may depend on third parties, including hotels, host and travel agencies, booking systems, Google Maps and Places, and the providers behind our website and forms. We aren’t responsible for every technical interruption or independent act of these third parties, but nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Liability

We aim to give you an accurate comparison based on the information available to us at the time. Hotel rates and availability can change quickly, sometimes outside of anyone’s control. Nothing in these terms removes any legal rights you have as a consumer, or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections available to you under the consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, regardless of this clause.
